HGA People
Chief HR Strategist
With more than 20 years of experience in human resources, leadership development, and workforce strategy, I bring a practical, business-focused lens to economic development and organizational governance. My career has centered on helping organizations strengthen performance, build healthy workplace cultures, and align people strategy with business growth; work that directly supports Red Deer D.R.I.V.E.’s mandate to attract investment and strengthen regional competitiveness.
As an entrepreneur and founder of a fractional HR consulting firm serving small and mid-sized businesses across Central Alberta, I understand firsthand the realities facing business owners: workforce shortages, leadership capability gaps, scaling challenges, and the need for smart, sustainable growth. I bring not only strategy, but lived experience navigating risk, building partnerships, and driving measurable results.
My community involvement reflects a commitment to thoughtful, impact-driven leadership. I have served as a volunteer member of the United Way Priority Impact Team, contributing to funding decisions that strengthen social infrastructure, and as an ad-hoc member of the Westerner Park HR Sub-Committee, supporting governance and people strategy in a complex operational environment. These experiences have sharpened my governance acumen and reinforced the importance of accountability, collaboration, and long-term thinking.
I believe strong economies are built on strong organizations and capable leaders. I would bring to the D.R.I.V.E. board strategic insight into workforce trends, governance experience, entrepreneurial perspective, and a collaborative leadership style grounded in both compassion and results.
Red Deer has extraordinary potential. I am motivated to help shape the systems, partnerships, and strategies that will allow it to fully realize it.
