Careers with Red Deer D.R.I.V.E.

Red Deer D.R.I.V.E. is pleased to announce the appointment of Michelle Tetreault as Interim Chief Executive Officer.

As Red Deer and Central Alberta’s newly independent economic development organization, Red Deer D.R.I.V.E. was created to attract investment, support business growth, and strengthen the competitiveness of our region. Michelle’s appointment positions the organization to move quickly on these priorities as it enters its foundational phase.

“Michelle brings exactly the combination of economic development expertise, stakeholder leadership, and execution discipline that Red Deer D.R.I.V.E. needs in its founding chapter,” said Peter Lacey, Chair of the Board of Directors. “The level of interest in this role, with 28 applicants, speaks to the confidence our community has in this organization and its potential. Michelle’s readiness to lead from day one set her apart.”

Michelle is President of Public Works Management Corporation and has built her career bringing together government, industry, and community partners to move initiatives from concept to implementation. She has worked within all three orders of government, coordinated and led non-profit organizations, and worked on major projects and programs in private consulting roles.

Through pursuits and programs ranging from international investment attraction initiatives to the World Petroleum Congress and world leader events, Michelle has excelled at connecting people and achieving results. Her broader experience spans regional infrastructure, agriculture and rural economic strategy, tourism, and destination development. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Waterloo and is an Envision Sustainability Professional.

Red Deer is at a defining moment, and Red Deer D.R.I.V.E. represents a real opportunity to shape the long-term future of Red Deer and Central Alberta,” said Tetreault. “I’m honoured to help establish the organization’s foundation.”

As Interim CEO, Michelle will focus on standing up the organization’s operations, advancing early investment attraction and stakeholder priorities, and supporting the Board of Directors through the search for a permanent CEO.

We are excited to welcome Michelle to Red Deer D.R.I.V.E. and look forward to the leadership, experience, and collaborative approach she will bring as we work to advance economic growth, investment, innovation, and entrepreneurship across Central Alberta.
