Donna C. Purcell, KC, is the Founder and Chief Innovation Officer at Donna Purcell QC Law; a client-first cloud-based law firm with offices in Gasoline Alley (Head Office), Red Deer, Calgary, Edmonton and Sylvan Lake with 15 employees. Her firm takes advantage of innovation to provide legal services. Donna is a result driven lawyer, community volunteer and philanthropist. She was a founding director and former Chair of the Central Alberta Community Legal Clinic and Past Chair/President of many organizations including the Red Deer Downtown Business Association, Tourism Red Deer, Junior Achievement of Southern Alberta (Central Alberta), Canadian Parents for French, Central Alberta Bar Association and the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association. She has a King’s Counsel designation and has received various awards including the Women in Law Leadership (WILL) Award for Service to the Community and was awarded the Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers in Canada recognition in the Changemakers category, Red Deer Business Leader of the Year, and King Charles III Coronation Medal. A graduate of the Harvard Business Analytics Program, she is passionate about advancing Alberta as a center for innovation including as it relates to: technology, agriculture, renewable and clean energy, tourism, entrepreneurship, while ensuring central Alberta excels at being an attractive place to live and work (having worked and raised a family here since 1995). As a Board Member of the Red Deer and Sylvan Lake Chambers, driving economic development and supporting local businesses to ensure global competitiveness is her passion.
