Dale Russell

I have been a resident of Red Deer since 1963. I have spent the last 46 years working in residential, new home, rural, and commercial real estate in the area. For the past 38 years, I have also owned and managed RE/MAX Real Estate Central Alberta, growing the brokerage to six offices and 85 agents across Central Alberta. Leading through multiple economic cycles has provided me with practical insight into investment trends, business confidence, housing supply, and commercial market performance in Central Alberta. 

My governance experience includes serving as President of the Red Deer Real Estate Board and three terms as a Director. I also served for 10 years on the Real Estate Insurance Exchange Board, including Chair of the Claims Committee and Advisory Board Chair. I was a member of the Real Estate Council of Alberta (2012–2015). I served on the Board of Governors for Red Deer College from 2008 to 2014, including two years as Vice Chair. 

As a commercial broker and downtown property owner, I have extensive, firsthand experience with downtown real estate dynamics, vacancy challenges, redevelopment considerations, and investor decision-making. I am seeking appointment to the Red Deer D.R.I.V.E. Economic Development Committee to contribute practical, market-based perspective and governance experience to support sustainable economic growth and long-term prosperity in our community.
